Had 20 minutes to kill yesterday before our Knit and Natter started so popped into the library half a dozen books to look at on crochet picked one to bring away.
oops! not the best picture but a couple of designs caught my eye....because someone had asked me about them recently.
Decided to have a little play....
I thought that it looked familiar....
the square motif from page 117 in particular.....now where had I seen it before?
a French blogger HERE Isn't it a stunning throw?
....I decided the hex version was better for what I wanted (a shawl/wrap, smaller holes) but I do love the square version very much.
The hex version I found in the boook has a different number of chain sts on each row, but it seemed like there were too may stitches my tension probably so I made mine just the way you would make a simple basic hex with 6 x 3chain corners increasing 2 st each side on each round.
have fun
An amazing pattern and that link you give to the blog using this as a chair throw is just beautiful! So many lovely patterns everywhere we look. Isn't it wonderful?!

I love your colourful experiment with this pattern! Reminds me that just as with houses it's about location, location, location, so often hooky success is about colour, colour, colour! And your colour instinct is always unerring, Sue! Number two project now made from your book - am wondering what to tackle next! E x
