A Knit and Natter group that meet in a Library get banned for dangerous needles and too much noise
What a nutty world we are living in lol.
Had a go at making some Fimo handles for my metal hooks
not perfect in shape but they work and are comfy to hold...and cheap too, one pack of Fimo is probably enought to do 7 may be 8 hooks depending on the mm size.
Baked in the oven for half an hour and cooled outside for 10 minutes..I saved some cash.
HAPPY HOOKING X
It wasn't our knitting group, honest! How ridiculous. You can't buy knitting needles in some charity shops because they're classed as 'dangerous'. The world has indeed gone batty. Love your new hooks. Might try that myself. Have a great weekend, Sue.x
ReplyDeletea mad mad world hey? lol
Deleteyou must it's easy and quick and very very cheap lol

Love your FIMO handles, Sue! I might have a go at this on some old hooks I have! You didn't mention the heat of the oven to 'bake' them. I guess it's marked on the package.
ReplyDeleteAs for the knitting group being banned from the new library, I can only imagine the noise of laughter and natter made by 20 or more laughing, chatty ladies! I can understand that the library would want to keep it quiet for the readers though! I wonder what the volume of 20 pairs of metal knitting needles is? Clickety click!!! I have to smile though, don't you?!
hi...180c for half an hour Sandra....yes on the packet
DeleteLol...made me laugh out loud lol
