I woke up to a view of my Stylecraft special DK log cabin progress.......and my new poncho.
I tidied the book case at the foot of the bed up yesterday, but already the crochet is decorating the space..
Tried making a shrug from the two blocks but it was just a couple of inches longer than needed compared to the width, so it wasn't working..back to a blanket then!
And it was so cold last night I even wore my new poncho to pop to the supermarket.
Autumn around the corner.
That log cabin WIP is looking gorgeous, Sue! I think it would look fabulous hanging on the wall opposite your bed (instead of that tiny screen!)
ReplyDeleteHi...thanks, but not as entertaining.

Lol @ the "tiny screen" convo! Sue, I could sure use 1/2 of a block from that gorgeous (!!!!!!!) "Blanket'' (you say "blanket" I say shawl/possible robe or cape (think me as Gandalf sans the beard with my walking stick..NO! Gads, I just described a doomsday prophet standing on the Streets of New York! )) as I have the same problem with the back of my Triangle Shawl is longer than the front. My grand 'plan' was to add two progressing triangles. Each going from back tip of shawl to front tip, but not up the long straight edge. I had wanted to make it a straight edge, not elongate the back and further, but make the sides and front tip the same length as the back tip. But I'm stuck. It's beyond what I can suss out with my illness-related cognition issues. I have 5, no, 7 balls of different colored yarns from the 'fixer-up' trials. Maybe this is a job for group? E-mail? Just saying your log-cabin WIP as a shawl is like a second (much prettier) cousin to my shawl WIP, and I have to make mine work as a wearable thing. Don't know the right technical title for what this is turning into.
ReplyDeleteHi....we often watch films in bed so would miss our mini TV. Lol
DeleteGood luck with your shawl...not exactly sure what you are aiming at but I know it will be creative.
