CROCHET: Half Daisy Hexagon Pattern.

Personally I'm not a lover of half motifs but some followers are and a half Daisy Hexagon has been asked for.

This is a a half hexagon for the Daisy Pattern in my book.

Mostly I use a finger wrap of 4/5 wraps (picture above) to start most 'in the round' crochet but you could use....
a magic circle or.....
4ch sts and sl st into a circle...
the only problem with the last one (rare that I use this method anymore) is that the slip knot always shows and I'm not keen on see that, lumpy sl knot when there are other methods that look far nicer
For this half daisy hex, I'm using a magic circle..which is basically a half made slip know without the knot bit.
Round 1: 7dc (7tr) into the slip knot and pull tight, weave in ends

Round 2: colour change, make the first and the last, which is the 1st and 6th petal with and extra tr (dtr) in the cluster the middle 4 petals make as instructed in the book.
Round 3: make the first granny shell in the sp between the 3chsts (counts as first tr (dtr), then a granny shell in the next sp,
then make a corner of 1granny shell, ch2 granny shell as instructed in the book, 1granny shell in the next sp, repeat a corner,

finish with 1granny shell in the next sp, and the last one in the sp between the 3rd and 4th tr (dtr)

these half daisy hex motifs can be added to any space with a join as you go or sewn into half spaces to make a straight edge to add borders too
